Biography

Guillermo Rocamora Pérez is a bioinformatician and data scientist working as an independent contractor with Prof. Mina Ryten’s Lab at Cambridge University. He has completed master’s degrees in Particle Physics and Data Analysis, focusing on big data and computing clusters. During his master’s, he collaborated with Prof. Juan A. Botía at the University of Murcia, developing new methods for gene hub identification in targeted co-expression networks using a refinement of Lasso regression. At Ryten’s Lab, he provides computational and data analysis expertise across multiple projects, including alternative splicing, differential gene expression and proportion analyses. He has provided analytical support to research within the PPMI and the ASAP initiatives. Through ASAP, in 2025 he was awarded a Multi-Omics Meta-Analysis (MoMa) grant for the project “Computational Pipeline to Generate Cell Type Specific 5’ UTR Analyses”.
